Quick answer
FlowDeep classifies each coin into one of seven zones based on where the data says it sits in its cycle. Green zones favor accumulation, red zones favor caution, and the Discovery zones flag the moments when the market quietly turns at the top or bottom.
Every FlowDeep dashboard is built around a single idea. We translate the data into one of seven simple zones so you can read where a coin is in its cycle at a glance. Here is what each zone means and how to use it.
Why seven zones
Two zones (bull or bear) flatten too much detail. A free-floating number gives you no context. Seven zones strike the right balance. They are coarse enough to read instantly and granular enough to capture the meaningful phases of a cycle, from deep discount to extreme overheating, with the turning points called out separately.
Every coin is assigned a current zone based on FlowDeep's cycle model. The model is built on years of historical price behavior and is tuned per coin so the labels stay meaningful as markets evolve.
The seven zones explained
1. VALUE Zone
Price sits clearly inside the deep-discount end of the coin's historical range.
What it means: These are the deep-discount stretches that show up during bear markets and major corrections. Historically the best long-term entries have come from VALUE periods. They are also the scariest, which is exactly why most people miss them.
2. DISCOUNT Zone
Price is moderately undervalued but not at extremes. A softer reading than VALUE.
What it means: The market is recovering from a downturn or pulling back during an uptrend. Entries here come with less fear than VALUE zones, and the risk-reward is still tilted in the investor's favor.
3. DISCOVERY DOWN Zone
The data has confirmed a cyclical bottom and is starting to recover. A transitional zone between deep discount and the balanced middle.
What it means: The market has built a base and momentum is shifting up. This is early confirmation that the worst is behind. Patient buyers who acted in VALUE often see their thesis start to play out here.
4. NEUTRAL Zone
Price is sitting in the balanced middle of the coin's historical range. Neither cheap nor expensive.
What it means: The market is fairly priced. Not a screaming buy and not a sell either. Most of the time is spent here. Dollar-cost averaging tends to work well in this zone, with no urgency in either direction.
5. DISCOVERY UP Zone
Price has pushed above the balanced middle and momentum is building. A transitional zone between neutral and top territory.
What it means: Price is running ahead of the balanced middle as bullish sentiment builds. This is the early warning that the market is heading into overvalued ground. Existing holders sometimes start trimming while momentum traders stay active.
6. PREMIUM Zone
Price is clearly above the balanced middle and the market is overvalued.
What it means: The market is heating up and euphoria is starting to show. Historically, buying here has produced lower long-term returns than buying at lower zones. Many investors take partial profit or slow down new buying.
7. EXTREME Zone
Price has pushed to the upper extreme of the coin's historical range. Deeply overvalued territory.
What it means: Maximum caution. These periods have historically come right before significant corrections. The market can stay extreme longer than feels reasonable, but the risk of a sharp reversal is high.
How to read the dashboard
When you open any coin's dashboard on FlowDeep, you will see four key panels:
- Cycle Chart. A timeline of price overlaid with colored zone bands, so you can see when this coin has been in each zone before and what happened next.
- Current Zone Badge. A clear label that tells you which zone the coin is in right now.
- Zone Reading. A clear readout of how strong the current zone placement is.
- Zone History. A table of past transitions, useful for studying how long zones typically last.
Adaptive, not static
The model is adaptive. It is not a fixed setting that was chosen once and forgotten. As market conditions evolve, the zones stay grounded in each coin's current behavior rather than an arbitrary number from years ago.
In practice that means the zones keep their meaning across cycles. A VALUE reading today is comparable to a VALUE reading three years ago in terms of what it implies, even though the underlying market has changed.
Key takeaway
The 7-zone system turns the underlying analysis into a simple framework. Green zones favor buying, red zones favor caution, and the Discovery zones flag the turn at both ends. Combined with the historical zone chart, you get "where are we now" and "what has happened here before" in one view.
Frequently asked questions
How does FlowDeep decide which zone a coin is in?
FlowDeep uses a proprietary cycle model that places each coin into one of seven zones based on where it sits in its own historical range. The labels are tuned per coin so the same zone means the same thing whether you are looking at Bitcoin or a smaller-cap asset.
What is the difference between VALUE and DISCOUNT zones?
VALUE means the coin is sitting in the deep-discount end of its historical range, the kind of reading you usually see in bear markets. DISCOUNT is a softer reading where the coin is moderately undervalued, often during a recovery or a pullback inside an uptrend.
What does the DISCOVERY zone mean?
Discovery zones mark cyclical turning points. DISCOVERY DOWN flags that a bottom has formed and momentum is shifting up, while DISCOVERY UP flags that price is heating up and top territory is approaching.
Are the zone boundaries fixed?
No. The system is adaptive and stays grounded in each coin's current behavior rather than locked numbers chosen years ago. That is what keeps a VALUE or EXTREME reading meaningful across very different market environments.
What panels do I see on a coin dashboard?
Every coin dashboard shows a Cycle Chart with colored zone bands, a Current Zone Badge, a Zone Reading panel, and a Zone History table that lists past transitions and how long each zone lasted.
